“Staff at Pure Life were excellent when dealing with my mother in the later stages of dementia. They were friendly, kind, and assertive but without being overbearing. The balance was right. They do a difficult job and they’re stars! Would I recommend Pure Life? Yes!” M.T. (Son of client)

We’re committed to delivering care that’s beyond the ordinary, because good is not enough
At Pure Life Homecare, we know it’s the little things in life that make all the difference. Our service was founded by Matt Wiley who realised the ‘good’ support his grandfather was receiving fell way short of what he really needed to help him thrive.
While his personal care needs were well met, Matt’s grandfather was left feeling like just another job. What he really longed for was to feel alive, like a real person again. To have interesting and engaging conversations, to be seen and heard for who he was. To feel like people were genuinely curious about his opinions and feelings. Instead, carers carried out their duties but didn’t engage. They’d wander in with toast and tea, comment about the weather and rush off to the next job. It wasn’t their fault. They were overworked and under-appreciated.
This unique insight has driven Matt to reimagine home care, starting by investing in the carers and emphasising the two very different sides to care – focusing energies on the social aspect as well as mastering personal care.
We equip our team with the skills to respond intuitively and intelligently
We believe the secret to delivering the level of care we’d all like to receive lies in the training and personal development of our carers. And that goes way beyond what is mandatory at Pure Life Homecare. Our carers don’t just learn washing, moving, medications, meal prepping etc – they learn specialist care and valuable life skills too. Like how to communicate with and properly engage people, so they can better understand likes, hobbies, and even favourite childhood stories. Subject experts equip our compassionate team for specialist needs too, such as dementia, peg-feeding and pressure sore management.

“One lady loved arts and crafts. So we got her involved again. For those with dementia, we’ll play music that jogs memories. We get people dancing, playing bingo. We’ve even arranged table tennis.” – Matt Wiley, founder, Pure Life Homecare

We see the needs of the person within, not just the care plan
We always look at the bigger picture when it comes to each individual, with care plans designed to improve quality of life not just from a physical side but from an emotional perspective too. Every individual has a unique story, a life filled with memories, passions, and dreams. At Pure Life Homecare, our purpose is rooted in recognising this uniqueness. We’re not just about tasks; we’re about shared laughs, stories told, and memories made.
We’re bringing back the Eileens – can you care with a smile and real heart?
The Pure Life way is best personified by Eileen – a larger-than life character who provided home help to our founder Matt’s grandparents. Eileen’s visits became the highlight of the week, when she would come and share funny tales of her own family, chewing the fat with them on the week’s issues. We have resurrected this warm and neighbourly culture where the Eileens of this world are encouraged and celebrated.
If you’re looking for a career in care, where you can make a positive difference to the lives of others you’ve come to the right place. And the great thing is experience is not required. We will provide full, on-going expert training and you will be working with an experienced carer who will always on hand to answer questions. Our much-loved service users bring as much joy to us as we do them and for that, and a whole host of other reasons, we firmly believe being a Pure Life carer is one of the most rewarding and engaging jobs you can do.
